Meet Dawn and Mike

Background Information

Dawn is originally from a small town in Northeastern Oklahoma. She has one sister, Andrea, and goes to see her family regularly.
Mike is originally from a small town in Central Arkansas. He is the youngest of four siblings: William, Linda, and Carol.

Dawn went to Oklahoma State University and graduated in 2004 with an Accounting degree.
Mike went to Arkansas Tech University and graduated in 2004 with a Computer and Information Sciences degree.

Dawn moved to Northwest Arkansas in June of 2004 to work for Wal-Mart.
Mike moved to Northwest Arkansas in May of 2004 to work for the Information Systems Division at Walmart.

Things In Common

Both have very strong family connections; and believe it is important to stay close to the values you were raised with.
Both are from smaller communities and like the hometown feeling in Northwest Arkansas.
Both are very social.
Both love to have a good time.
From canoeing to dancing, both enjoy a wide range of activities.
Both enjoy their work very much (even when it is stressful) and have goals to grow personally and professionally.
Both share laid back personalities about most things. This sometimes makes planning a night out for dinner difficult when neither has a preference.
Both love to travel and aspire to see the world both domestically and internationally.

Opposites Attract

Mike is talented in regard to technical knowledge (i.e. computers)... Dawn, not as much.
Dawn is talented in regard to financial knowledge (i.e. regularly balancing her check book)... Mike, not really.
Dawn's favorite color is pink. Mike's favorite is blue.
Mike is very “big picture”. Dawn is very detailed.
Dawn loves dogs. Mike does too... now.
Dawn's dog, Libby, is small at about 12 pounds. Mike's dog, Bitsy, is large at 70 pounds. His dog is also still just a puppy.
